Raiders, Angels & Eagles for the Valley!

kiwanis-logo-newer-300x64.jpg

Raiders and Eagles for the Valley (REV) is a collaborative, student-centered initiative that provides essential support to high school students facing financial hardship at Kennett High School and Fryeburg Academy. Through partnerships between Kiwanis, student service clubs, school support staff, and local businesses, the program helps remove barriers that interfere with students’ ability to attend school, work, and focus on their education.

This project recognizes that many students in our community face challenges that are often unseen — and that small, timely support can make a meaningful difference.

Raiders and Eagles for the Valley (REV) earned a First-Place Project Award at the 2025 New England and Bermuda District Conference.

The DellaValla Bluegrass Trio supports this initiative through community jams that fundraise for the project.

Listen Up! Mount Washington Valley Music and Makers You Don't Want to Miss

This article is part of a project through Kennett High School in which I (Joseph DellaValla) interview people connected to music in the Mount Washington Valley so I can share their stories. I invite my mom (Jessica DellaValla), who is not a musician, as well as my siblings (Molly and John), who are, to share their perspectives as well. If you have a recommendation on someone to interview or if you’d like to connect with me, please email me at dellavallatrio@gmail.com.

Nomophobia

Joseph and John recently completed a research project on Nomophobia and presented their findings at the UP Granite Youth Conference. They will next share their work at the Key Club International Conference in July 2026. Their project has already earned strong recognition, including first place in the People’s Choice MESA Award and third place overall at the Fryeburg Academy Science Fair. They also published an article in the Conway Daily Sun about their research which you can read here.
